This adventurous expedition explores the rugged beauty of Ladakh through one of the Himalaya’s most scenic trekking routes. The journey begins with a trek across the spectacular Markha Valley, passing remote mountain villages, ancient monasteries, and vast high-altitude landscapes. The adventure culminates with an ascent of UT Kangri, a 6,000-metre peak offering sweeping views across the Zanskar and Karakoram ranges.
Experience Ladakh during its prime trekking season, when stable weather and clear skies provide ideal conditions for high-altitude hikes, mountain passes, and expedition-style adventures.
Arrive in Leh and transfer to Thiksey for acclimatisation. Visit Thiksey Monastery to witness morning prayers and explore Leh’s historic markets and cultural landmarks.
Drive from Leh to Skiu and begin trekking through the Markha Valley. Hike through dramatic canyon landscapes and remote settlements including Sara, Markha, and Hangkar before reaching the high-altitude campsite at Nimaling.
Cross the spectacular Kongmaru La pass before descending to Chokdo and driving back to Leh.
A day for rest and recovery in Leh before the summit attempt.
Drive to Rumtse and hike to UT Kangri Base Camp. Attempt the summit of UT Kangri (6,070 m), enjoying breathtaking views of the surrounding Himalayan ranges before returning to Leh
Reserved for weather delays or additional acclimatisation if needed.
Transfer to Leh airport for your onward journey.
