    Namibia has a subtropical desert climate which is characterized by great differences in the temperature during the day and night time. The country receives low precipitation and overall humidity is quite low.

    June marks the onset of winters in Namibia and they last till early October. Often described as the dry season, during this time period Namibia receives no rainfall with minimum temperatures hovering between 5 oC to 10 oC. November to April is the wet season in Namibia. November is also the beginning of summer and December marks the onset of rainfall. The maximum temperature during the summers can reach up to a scorching 40 oC.

    English is the official language of Namibia. In some parts of the country German is also recognized as an official language.

    Meals will consist of continental and local cuisines with vegetarian and non-vegetarian options available. If you are allergic to any specific food items, kindly let us know at the time of booking. 

  • Clothing & Equipment

    We suggest sticking to light, neutral colors like Khaki, Green and Brown. No whites, as they will get dirty and dusty very quickly. It is very important to avoid camouflage or military clothing or prints, as they are illegal in the country. Here are some of our recommendations: 

    • Light wool cap (for evenings)
    • Sunglasses
    • Sunscreen & Lip Balm (preferably with strong UV protection)
    • Wide brimmed sunhat
    • Long sleeved shirts/T-Shirts
    • Light wool/Fleece jacket (for evenings)

  • How To Get There

    The trip starts and ends in Windhoek. Please plan your flights accordingly (return flights no earlier than 4 PM)

  • Medication & First Aid

    Please carry some easy to access medicines on the trip, for headaches, diarrhea, constipation, and some re-hydration. powders like Electral etc. apart from any personal medication.

  • Internet

    All camps have Wi-Fi. However, the connectivity is quite unreliable due to their remote locations. 

  • Group Size

    We offer this trip for a group of 2-6 travellers. Larger groups can be accommodated on customized journeys

  • Money to Carry

    The official currency in Namibia is the Namibian Dollar, however, the South African Rand can also be used at an identical rate to the Namibian Dollar. Euro, Pound, US Dollars and other major currencies can be exchanged locally. It is advisable to carry cash at all times.

  • Tipping

    All tipping is optional and by no means mandatory, however if you feel that your staff and drivers have performed at a satisfactory level, it is a great way to let them know you appreciate their efforts.
