What exactly are the Galapagos Islands?

There are thirteen major islands and a handful of smaller islands that make up the Galápagos archipelago. Santacruz is the main hub of the Galapagos (where most cruises and packages start) and is connected to Baltra islands (where the airport is) via a short ferry/car ride

    Galapagos

When’s the best time to visit?

Best time to visit - November & December

    How do I get there?

The only way to get here is by air. Travelers must fly from mainland Ecuador (from Guayaquil or Quito) to Galapagos (Seymour Airport, Baltra Island). Currently, three companies offer flights to Galapagos: TAME, LAN-Ecuador, and Avianca from Guayaquil or Quito

Which kind of packages are available?

There are two kinds of packages - land-based and cruise hopping - both come with their own advantages - research which one suits you the best.

What should I keep in mind about wildlife?

    - The biggest threat to the fragile ecosystem of this island is the introduction of invasive species that’s why carrying live animals, plants, and seeds are banned.

    - Don’t be surprised if the soles of your shoes are sanitized at the airport

    - Some animals only live on specific islands. Research well and plan your trip and speak to your travel operator to not miss them

    - Never feed the wildlife and remain two meters away from them, even though they are friendly and approachable.

Are the islands safe to travel to?

Absolutely! Just ensure that you always stay on the trails wherever you goas it’s easy to get lost and with far and few settlements in between, help is not widely available

How is the internet connectivity on the islands?

Prepare for limited internet across the islands

Let us plan a trip together and create an values to the small businesses of the island. It is on you to make a positive or a negative impact of your tourism. We are waiting to know what you think about it. Comment down your views.
